A subject being held at the Ozaukee County Jail was found deceased at that facility early Saturday morning.
Ozaukee County Sheriff Christy Knowles said that the person, identified only as a 36-year-old man from Milwaukee, was being held on local charges and an out-of-county warrant after being taken into custody on Thursday, May 30th. He was discovered deceased at 2:30 this morning.
The identity of the man was being withheld until his next of kin could be notified, and the incident was turned over to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for investigation, per Ozaukee County policy. The Sheriff said that more information would be released when available.
