MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers downed the Chicago Cubs 10-6 to take game three of a four-game series at American Family Field on Wednesday night.
Willy Adames and Christian Yelich both went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and a pair of runs scored. Blake Perkins also homered on a two-run shot in the third inning.
Jared Koenig improved to 5-1 after tossing three strikeouts through two scoreless innings of relief. The Brewers remain atop the division at 32-23.
For the Cubs, Ian Happ hit his fifth home run of the season. Shota Imanaga was charged with his first loss of the year as the Cubs fell to 28-28. Chicago has dropped six of its last seven games.
The Brewers will look to win the series when it wraps up Thursday afternoon while the Cubs will be going for a split.
