Motorists are being asked to keep a cautious eye out for workers maintaining state highways in Sheboygan County this coming week.
The Wisconsin DOT says that work begins today on both north, and southbound Highway 67 between Highway 23 and County Road “A”, where crews will be working on ditches between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily through Thursday, May 9th. Flagging operations will control traffic while that work is being done.
Another round of ditch work will take place on east and westbound Highway 23 at County Highway “U” and Julie Court on Tuesday between 6 and 4. Lane and shoulder closures can be expected during those repairs.
Also on Tuesday, maintenance crews will perform ditch work along both north and southbound I-43 in the northern two-thirds of the county, from Wilson-Lima Road near Oostburg north to the Manitowoc/Sheboygan County line. That work tomorrow also takes place between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m.
In all cases, drivers are urged to slow down for the safety of workers and travelers alike.
