Alliant Energy has ben recognized as a 3-Star Employer by a group that tracks the performance of companies in their policies towards veterans. The VETS Indexes Employer Award was give for the second consecutive year to Alliant. VETS Indexes President George Altman said that the award was given based on “…the diligent efforts of Alliant Energy to hire, retain and support veterans and the military-connected community.” He said that “Even with hundreds of employers in the running, Alliant Energy demonstrated a strong dedication to veteran employment.”
Alliant Energy works proactively to match veteran candidates with available career opportunities and supports the personal and professional development of veterans through an employee-driven Veterans Alliance Resource Group.
Alliant’s VP and Chief Officer for HR Diane Cooke praised their veterans, saying that “The unique skills, training and dedication veterans bring to our team helps us deliver the energy solutions and exceptional service customers and communities count on – safely, efficiently and responsibly.”
