Robert J. Hessil, age 89, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April
6, 2024, at Pine Haven Christian Communities.
He was born in Summit, WI on July 9, 1934, to the late John and Kathryn (Kleber)
Hessil. Bob proudly served in the United States Army. He was united in marriage
to Marion Wirt on May 1, 1976. He was employed at Vollrath Company as a proud
union member for over 38 years, retiring in 1997, being a member of the Quarter
Century Club.
Bob was an avid gardener and enjoyed playing cards and cribbage.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marion. He will be deeply missed by his
children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his brothers and a grandson.
A Memorial Service for Bob will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 1,
2024, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2132 N 27 th St. in Sheboygan with Pastor Daniel
Voigt officiating. The family will greet visitors on Wednesday at the church from
10:00 AM until the time of the service. For those who would like to watch Bob’s

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bob’s name.
The family would like to thank the staff at both Pine Haven Christian Communities
and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the care and support given
during this difficult time.
