MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Minnesota Twins earned a series split with the Milwaukee Brewers following a 7-3 win at American Family Field on Wednesday afternoon.
Byron Buxton, Carlos Correa and Ryan Jeffers drove in runs as part of a five-run seventh inning for Minnesota. Jeffers slugged a three-run shot and finished with four RBI. Daniel Duarte got the win after giving up one run in two innings of relief.
Jackson Chourio launched his first career homer in the fifth inning for Milwaukee. Rhys Hoskins also homered as the Brewers suffered their first loss of the year to drop to 4-1.
The Brewers have Thursday off before hosting the Seattle Mariners for a three-game weekend series beginning Friday night.
