MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers extended their early season winning streak after slipping past the Twins 3-2 in Milwaukee on Tuesday in their home opener.
Christian Yelich slugged his second homer of the season with a third-inning solo shot. Brice Turang and Jackson Chourio also drove in runs as the Brewers improved to 4-0 on the season.
Elvis Peguero earned the win after giving up an unearned run over two innings of relief, while Abner Uribe notched his third save of the year.
Matt Wallner and Christan Vazquez drove in runs for Minnesota.
The two teams will square off again Wednesday at American Family Field. Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 11:35am.
