
Donna Mickelson passed away on March 30, 2024.
She was born Donna Stone on August 29, 1948 in
Antigo WI. She was the daughter of the late Marian
(Smith) Mikelson and the late Col. Harvey Stone.
Donna attended Antigo Public Schools. She moved
to Sheboygan in 1980, and worked for Grube
Pharmacy, Ross Glove and Sheboygan Paint Co in
the accounting department for fifteen years before
retiring in 2012. Donna returned to Antigo in 2018
for a bit then returned to Sheboygan in 2020.
Donna is survived by three daughters; Ashley (Joel)
Huibregtse Sheboygan, Andrea (Joe) Fick
Sheboygan, Paula Johnson Howards Grove, one
son; Duane Fronek White Lake, One sister; Linda
(Craig) Seis Antigo, one brother, Daniel Stone Fort
Atkinson; ten grandchildren, Max and Brooks
Huibregtse,Brady (fiancé Morgan Johanning) and
Mason Fick, Erika Johnson, Courtney Long,
Kathleen Fronek, Janice Podolski, Hope and Hunter
Fronek; and several great grandchildren. She also
leaves behind many nieces and nephews. In
addition to her parents she was also preceded in
death by a brother Larry Stone, a sister Cindy
(Mike) Horst, five grandchildren; Misty Dawn,
Alexandra, Spencer, Chloe, and Libby. Also son-in-
law Jack Johnson.
Donna was a very independent woman up until the
end. She enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren, chatting with a couple close friends,
the color purple, Tweety bird and shrimp.
Special thanks to the staff at Sunny Ridge for the
care while she was there. Another heartfelt thank
you to Compassus for providing extraordinary
support for Donna and her family. You all provided
us with a sense of calmness and acceptance in
those last days that we will never forget.
Donna will be cremated and a service held at
Zimmer Westview Funeral Home, W2132 Garton
Road, Sheboygan, WI, on Friday, April 5, 2024 at
3:00 p.m., with the Rev. Gregory Whelton officiating.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family from
1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the FUNERAL
HOME. In lieu of flowers donations may be made
payable to REINS, Inc. Equine Assisted Services.
