QUEENS, NY (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers are celebrating a road sweep following a 4-1 win over the New York Mets in Queens on Sunday.
William Contreras and Willy Adames led the Brewers’ offense with a pair of hits and a run driven in. Brice Turang also recorded two hits and scored twice.
Colin Rea earned the win after surrendering one run on five hits over five innings.
Milwaukee is 3-0 on the young season.
Tyrone Taylor drove in the lone run for New York with a second-inning single. Tylor Megill gave up one earned run over four innings before leaving the game with a sore shoulder. The Mets are 0-3.
The Brewers have Monday off, then will host the Minnesota Twins in the home opener from American Family Field on Tuesday afternoon.
