A woman was lucky to escape injury, but wasn’t able to get out of drunk driving charges related to an accident on Sunday afternoon.
The 20-year-old Campbellsport woman, who wasn’t identified, was driving in the area of County Highways “U” and “S” in the Town of Mitchell when officials say she missed a slight curve. The car left the road, entered the ditch and hit several trees. The driver wasn’t injured but now faces her first OWI charge.
