A 74-year-old Francis Creek man is under arrest on four charges related to sexual assault of a child, and they fear that more victims may be found. Michael Kornely was arrested this past Thursday without incident after the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, investigating an initial complaint received in February, uncovered evidence that he was planning a meeting with another child using computerized communication. A bail hearing on Friday set bond at $15,000.
Kornely is so far charged with second-degree sexual assault, use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, attempted second-degree sexual assault of a child, and exposing a child to harmful materials, but officials believe that there may be more victims given that Kornely’s behavior seems to go back some time.
