The Sheboygan Police Department has announced that it has two juveniles in custody in connection with an early Tuesday morning vandalism and graffiti spree in the Franklin Park and Swift neighborhoods that also included several burglaries.
The value of damage attributed to the two suspects, resulting from red and black paint sprayed on houses and vehicles, was estimated at between 20-30 thousand dollars.
Reports of the activity began coming into police dispatch at around 3 a.m. Tuesday, and police had asked for the public’s help through review of their security and doorbell cameras. That apparently paid off, as police thanked the public for the surveillance footage that was received.
Early this Wednesday morning, two SPD officers on patrol observed a suspicious juvenile riding a bicycle. Subsequent investigation revealed that there were two juveniles involved. Both have been referred to juvenile authorities on 21 counts of criminal damage to property and 3 burglaries.
