Dawn A. Liebergen, age 81, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9,
2024, at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan.
She was born on November 2, 1942, in Milwaukee to the late Alton and Dorothy (Whittenberg)
Berg. She graduated from Plymouth High School. Dawn has worked at various places in her life;
Sheboygan Paper Box, Richardson Brothers and Midway Laundry.
Dawn enjoyed life to the fullest. Some of her favorite things to do was going camping, fishing,
playing Farkle, and going to the casino. Above all, spending time with her grandchildren was
something that brought her joy. Anyone who knew Dawn, knew her stubbornness, sassiness
and compassion. She will be deeply missed by everyone she touched.
Dawn is survived by her daughters, Michele (Robert) Walton, Corrine (Shaun) Brachmann,
Wendy (Keith) Schwalbe, and Jodie Pope; a step-daughter, Sue Pittner; a daughter-in-law,
Kristine Conway; grandchildren, Amanda Winkler, Nichelle Brachmann (Mike Wright), Kayla
Schwalbe (Taylor Korthals), Peter Brachmann, Katie (Andrew) Schwaffel, Karley Schwalbe (Ryan
Schroeder), Jack Pope-Miller (Brandy Bibiano), Kirsten Pope, Luca Pope, Carlie Pittner and
Jessica (Shelby) Pittner; great-grandchildren, Alivia Blanke and Devon Winkler; siblings, Bruce
(Deb) Berg, Dede Schelk, Sue (Paul) Pittner and Karen Liebergen; sister-in-law, Janice Berg;
brother-in-law Ron Hausler; special friends, Sandy, Butch, Mary Lou, all of her camping friends;
dog, Jackson and grandpuppy, Jake. Nieces, nephews, other family and friends further survive.
Along with her parents, Dawn was preceded in death by her son, Chris Winkler; previous
husbands, Ronald Winkler, Charles Pope and Ken Liebergen; siblings, Jim Berg, Donald Berg,
Butch Berg, Jane Payne, Pat Goetsch and Waunie Hausler; a brother-in-law, Donny Schelk;
sisters-in-law, Eilene Berg and Charlie Berg and a great-grandchild, Reagan Schwalbe.
A Memorial Service for Dawn will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM at
Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1121 Georgia Ave. in Sheboygan, with Rev. Patrick Niles
officiating. Family will greet visitors on Thursday AT CHURCH from 11:00 AM until the time of

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Dawn’s name.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at both Aurora Medical Center and Aurora
