In a normal winter a 2-inch snowfall would simply be “run-of-the-mill”, but this year’s much warmer-than-usual season makes such an event something to follow.
The National Weather Service indicates a possible need to add extra time for Thursday’s morning commute as a quick-moving system moves through beginning late Wednesday night as light rain. A switchover to mixed precipitation is likely by midnight, with perhaps 2-inches or more snow accumulating between 6 a.m. and noon Thursday.
