(WHBL) – Folks in southern Wisconsin are waking-up to the day after the state’s first ever February tornado.
The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down Thursday between Evansville and Edgerton about 6 p.m. No one was seriously hurt, but police and emergency crews say there was plenty of damage.
The tornado was just part of a large storm system that tracked across Rock County and parts of southern Wisconsin before crossing the Milwaukee-area, and eventually heading out over Lake Michigan.
The Weather Service says teams will be in Evansville today to get a first hand look at the damage, and try and figure out just how strong that tornado was.
