A new schedule of raises for the Sheboygan Mayor and Alderpersons are one step away from final approval after the Finance and Personnel Committee sent the ordinance to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation.
The ordinance would bump the Mayor’s salary from an already-established $59,448.04 rate this April, up to $75,000 in 2025 with 3.5% annual increases through 2028. Alderpersons would get a 4% increases in 2025 to $6,327, and another 4% increase in 2027.
Alderman Trey Mitchell voted against approval, but with “yeas” from Alders Ackley and Filicky-Peneski, the measure will be up for a vote when the Common Council meets this coming Monday.
