
Terence “Terry” D. Knier, age 66, of Sheboygan passed away Sunday January 7,
2024. Terry was born June 21, 1957, in Sheboygan, to the late Harold and Carol
(Godeman) Knier.
Terry was a 1975 graduate of Sheboygan South High School. On January 24, 1981,
he was united in marriage to the former Judith Behrens in Sheboygan. Terry retired
as a Lieutenant with the Sheboygan Fire Department after 23 years of service.
Terry was an active member and volunteer of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in
Sheboygan. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, sportsman, coach, and loved sharing
his passions with those he loved. He formed many strong bonds with those who
shared his love for the outdoors. Terry was passionate about cross country skiing
and was one of the founders of the Northern Kettle Moraine Nordic Ski Team. He
loved coaching the STORM Team which is celebrating 20 years. Terry developed a
love for world travel and the experiences he and Judi shared. Terry was a member
of the Elks National Foundation, Sheboygan Yacht Club, Moose Fraternity,
Sheboygan Recreation Department Coach/Instructor, and authored a safety article
for several years in the Sheboygan Press.
Survivors include his loving wife Judith, daughter Kayla (John) Schmitz of
Sheboygan Falls and their children, Addilyn, Deklen and Blate, son Kevin
(Elizabeth) Knier of Elm Grove and their children Quentin, Kendrick and
Cameron, and a brother James (Traci) Knier of Madison. Many other relatives and
friends further survive him.
Family and friends may come to pay respects at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral
Home, 1535 S. 12 th Street, Sheboygan on Tuesday January 16, 2024, from 4-7 p.m.
Visitation will continue at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1121 Georgia Ave. on
Wednesday January 17, 2024, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Pastor Patrick Niles will officiate. A private family burial will take place at Sunrise
Memorial Garden.
Terry’s heart-felt advice, genuine kindness, and fun-loving personality will be
missed by us all.
