Marilyn H. Rooker, age 89, of Waldo, WI, passed away early Wednesday
evening (December 27, 2023) at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Home in
Sheboygan Falls.
She was born on December 20,1934 in Plymouth, WI, a daughter of Arthur A.
and Alice Dexheimer Sander.
Marilyn attended Plymouth Area Grade Schools and graduated from Plymouth
High School in 1953.
On June 19, 1954, she married Raymond Rooker at Salem United Church of
Christ in Plymouth. The couple lived in Plymouth for two years after their
marriage and since then has resided in Waldo. He preceded her in death on
October 16, 1993.
Marilyn worked at Larson Canning Company in Waldo for over 20 years, retiring
in 1983.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and belonged to the
Senior Citizens of Waldo and Cascade.
Survivors include her three sons: Larry (Lori) Rooker of Howards Grove,
Dean (Mary) Rooker of Waukesha and James (Karen) Rooker of Sheboygan
Falls and one daughter: Donna Rooker of Pewaukee, six grandchildren: Nicole
(Travis) Woltmann, Aaron (Alicia) Rooker, Bryan (Courtney) Rooker, Heidi
(James) Moisey, Rachel (Josh) Grisa, Eric (Katie) Rooker; nine great
grandchildren: Nolan, Quinn, Julian, Heath, Brynn, Braydon, Charles, Emily and
Anna, three sisters-in-law: Gertrude Rooker of Plymouth, Janet Rooker of
Sheboygan Falls and Joann Grant of Sheboygan, as well as by many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by two brothers: Eldor (Therese) Sander and
Gene (Leona) Sander and one sister: Helen (Phillip) Maurer.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (January 3, 2024) at 12:00 Noon at
the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. James Hoppert, pastor of Salem
United Church of Christ in Plymouth will officiate. Burial will be in the Sheboygan
Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Wednesday
(Jan. 3) from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marilyn’s name.
