(WHBL) – Wisconsin holds a partisan primary election on August 11th, and if you want to vote your preference, you’ll need proper ID.
The Wisconsin Elections Commission says if you don’t have a Wisconsin Drivers License, the DMV is still your best option to get the ID you need. There, you can obtain an official state ID card acceptable at the polls free of charge, but to get that you’ll need certain documents like a birth certificate.
If you don’t have all the needed documents, then the ID Petition Process can be used to get a receipt that’s valid for voting while the remaining documents or verifications are obtained. The DMV operates a toll-free Voter ID hotline if you have questions…(844) 588-1069.
