
Arthur Lloyd passed at the age of 92 years. He was born in South Boston, VA.
After finishing the 8th grade, he tended to the family tobacco farm until he joined
the US Army at the age of 18 years. After his Army service, Arthur settled in
Sheboygan. For 64 years, Arthur lived in his home on S. 12th Street, Sheboygan.
Most recently, he lived at The Waterford Assisted Living in Plymouth, WI. He
proudly served in the US Army from 1948 – 1951. While in active duty during the
Korean War, Arthur earned and was presented a Purple Heart and a Bronze Leaf
Cluster. Arthur also earned and received The Bronze Star Medal. Arthur worked
the majority of his career as a painter. Eventually retiring from Michaletz
Decorating. He was active in Boy Scouts of America, The Black River
Advancement Assoc., and VFW Post #9156. Arthur enjoyed spending his free
time fishing, camping, and growing his vegetable garden. He felt joy and pride
sharing the vegetables with family, friends, neighbors, and anyone that happened to
walk by. Arthur was a member of Zion Evangelical Covenant Church.
He is survived by son, Tim Lloyd of Fond du Lac, son David (Laura) Lloyd of
Sturgeon Bay, and daughter, Angela (Jon) Rohde of Sheboygan. Four
grandchildren, Shannon (Joe) Eldridge of CA, Sean Lloyd of Sheboygan, Allison
(Jon) Paul of Sheboygan, and Morgan Rohde of Sheboygan. Also, six great-
grandchildren.
Family passing before Arthur are his parents, Charlie and Dela Lloyd, daughter
Ellen, wife Dorothy, daughter-in-law Wanda Lloyd, and ten siblings.
Family and friends may gather at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12 th
Street, Sheboygan on Monday December 11, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until the time
of service at 1:00 p.m.. Pastor Chris McKnight from Zion Church will officiate.
Entombment will take place in the Chapel of Eternal Light at Greenlawn Memorial
Park with full Military Honors being accorded by VFW Post #9156.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Zion Church or VFW Post #9156.
To my family and friends, please be thankful today. I'm still close beside you in a
new special way.
I love you all dearly, now don't shed a tear. Because I'm spending my Christmas
with Jesus this year.
