(WHBL) – If you’ve not yet responded to your U.S. Census survey, you can expect a knock on the door from a census-taker soon. Sheboygan County is among 15 in eastern Wisconsin that will have in-person surveys conducted beginning this Thursday. This first wave will be followed by a second set covering other counties beginning August 11th, and all surveys will be done by October 31st.
Census takers will be required to wear a mask while conducting their work, will wear a government Photo-ID badge and will come from the local community. If no one is home, a notice will be left at the door with instructions on how to respond.
Almost 77% of Sheboygan County has already responded to the census. Wisconsin’s overall rate is about 69%, and nationwide about 63% of the census is complete.
