SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Another 18 cases of COVID-19 were added to Sheboygan County’s pandemic total, raising that figure to 584. The active number of cases, though, rose only 4 to 196 as another 14 persons recovered from the disease. 4 persons are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, and a total of 23 persons in the county have been treated in a hospital setting. The County Division of Public Health did note that the total number hospitalized may see an increase because of people who are admitted and released on the same day, and may never be counted as a current hospitalization when the daily update is sent out. Negative test returns in the last 24-hours number 220, yielding a positive test return rate of around 7-1/2 percent. Tuesday’s increase of 18 cases follows the addition of 15 on Monday, 29 on Sunday and the highest daily total so far – 46 – on Saturday.
The 20-39 year old age category continues leading all others with 222 occurrences of COVID-19. 170 cases have been seen in those 40-59 years old, 94 in those under age 20, 81 in those 60-79 years old, and 17 subjects were 80 and older.

Another 73 persons were hospitalized. 9% of all persons experiencing the disease in Wisconsin have received hospital care.
