With all the little ghosts and goblins…and probably a few Barbies and Kens…going door-to-door hoping for something sweet tonight, the Sheboygan Police Department has a bit of advice for everyone. For homeowners, turn on porch or other exterior lights in order to welcome the trick-or-treaters to your home, and remove objects from the yard that could pose a hazard in the dark. The trick-or-treaters themselves should be dressed in reflective clothing, and with temperatures forecast to be in the mid-30s along with some brisk winds, something warm underneath the costume will be needed. And for motorists, the hours of 4-7 p.m. will be busy with plenty of pedestrian traffic, so drive slowly and stay alert. And if you see any suspicious or criminal activity, call your local police immediately.
