Area establishments represented among the “Coolest Things Made in Wisconsin” have been displaced in the contest as four finalists were announced on Wednesday. Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, sponsors of the contest, said that Jolly Good Soda from Krier Foods of Random Lake was displaced by the 90th Anniversary Limited Edition Sno-Thro from Ariens Company of Brillion. Airens, now the #3 Seed, will be challenged in the finals by Applewood Smoked Bacon from Neuske’s Applewood Smoked Meats of Wittenberg. Neuske’s, now the #2 Seed, ousted the other area entry: String Cheese from Cedar Valley Cheese of Belgium.
The other bracket will be a contest between the #1 seed Bevi Bottleless Water Dispenser from Plexus Corporation of Neenah, and #12 Seed American Heritage 6” Tobacco Safety Toe Work Boot from Thorogood of Merrill.
The final round of voting runs from Thursday, October 12th until 12:00 p.m. on October 19th at www.madeinwis.com. The winner will be announced the next day in Madison.
