Lois E. Kuhfuss, age 79, of Sheboygan passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at St. Luke’s
Medical Center in Milwaukee.
She was born in Sheboygan on January 8, 1944, to the late Alwin and Mildred (Toedter)
Kuhfuss. She graduated from South High School in 1962, and then went on to graduate as a
medical assistant at the School of Vocational, Technical and Adult Education in 1963. She was
employed at Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2008. Lois was a lifelong member of Our
Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, where she was a member of JOY.
Lois enjoyed bowling, being on numerous bowling leagues throughout the years. She loved
watching the Milwaukee Brewers. Above all, she found great joy attending her grandchildren’s
sports activities and any other events. She also enjoyed making memories with her friends
during their trips up north, especially watching the loons.
Lois is survived by her son, Eric (Michele) Kuhfuss; grandchildren, Cooper and McKenna
Kuhfuss; nieces and nephews, Kari (Dick) Piel, Cassie Hogue, Craig Kuhfuss and Kathy Lorenz;
her special friends, Frankie and Buddy, Purl and Peg, Gert and Keith, Nancy, Richie and Bernie;
great-nieces and nephews further survive.
Along with her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her brothers, Skip and Paul; and two
nephews, Paul L. Kuhfuss and Paul Kuhfuss Jr.
A Funeral Service for Lois Kuhfuss will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 16, 2023, at
Zimmer Westview Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd in Howards
Grove, with Rev. Bryan Osladil officiating. Family will greet visitors on Monday at the funeral
home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Lois will be laid to rest at Harms Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Lois’s name.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at both Aurora Sheboygan Medical
Center and St. Luke’s Medical Center for the care given to Lois in the past few weeks.
