MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — At the Capitol, there’s more Republican pressure to remove Wisconsin’s elections administrator.
State Senate President Chris Kapenga is urging Assembly Speaker Robin Vos to move forward impeachment articles against Wisconsin Elections Commission Administrator Meagan Wolfe.
But commissioner Joe Czarnecki said Wolfe has the support of the six member commission.
“I think not only do all the commissioners support the current administrator, I think the current administrator has the support of the county clerk’s and municipal clerks throughout the state,” said Czarnecki. “And again, those are the people who run the elections.”
A review of the impeachment articles drafted last month by five Assembly Republicans found them to be riddled with inaccurate information regarding Wolfe’s job.
