An investigation is underway after a car ended up in a retention pond at Acuity Insurance yesterday. Fire Department Batallion Chief Chase Longmiller says they were dispatched around 1:30 after the dispatch center got a call reporting a vehicle that had left I-43 northbound and entered the retenion pond. Fire and Police units responded along with the sheriff and Wisconsin State Patrol. The driver had already removed himself from the vehicle before it went into the water – they were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Nobody else was in the vehicle. The State Patrol is investigating.
