MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers crushed the Colorado Rockies 12-1 in their series opener from American Family Field on Monday night.
Freddy Peralta was dominant on the mound and earned the win after surrendering one run on one hit while striking out 13 batters over seven innings.
Sal Frelick went two-for-three at the plate with a three-run homer and drove in four runs. Tyrone Taylor and Brice Turang also went yard while William Contreras went three-for-five with three RBI.
Milwaukee improved to 61-53 and is first in the NL Central.
Ezequiel Tovar launched a solo homer for Colorado, which fell to 44-68. The Rockies are last in the NL West.
