JULY 20, 2023 – DAIRY NEWS – Professional Dairy Producers Foundation, also known as Dairy’s Foundation®, has awarded grants to five programs throughout the country focused on building healthy and vibrant dairy communities.
“We are excited to provide funding to programs that are consistent with our foundation’s strategic vision of a professional, proactive and prepared dairy community.” said Brian Forrest, Dairy’s Foundation board chair and dairy producer from Stratford, Wis. “Dairy’s Foundation works to make a difference in dairy communities across the country, and these grants are made possible thanks to generous support by dairy producers and businesses.”
The following programs will receive funding:

- Dr. Genie’s Kids Inc./Little Medical School, St. Louis, Missouri: Grant awarded for a Farm Veterinarian School that will introduce students to several aspects of farm veterinary medicine, including diagnostics, heart and lung function, digestion, immunizations, surgery, and career opportunities.
- National 4-H Dairy Conference, Madison, Wisconsin: Grant awarded to support a seminar speaker for this educational conference that provides youth with a better understanding of the operations involved in dairy production, processing, marketing, and use of dairy products while broadening their understanding of careers available in dairy.
