Donald A. Arnoldi, 80, of Sheboygan, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
He was born November 14, 1942 in Sheboygan to the late Henry and Helen (Praeger) Arnoldi.
He graduated from Sheboygan South High School with the first class to graduate in 1961.
In January of 1963 he was united in marriage to Lola Healy, together they had four daughters,
Gina (Keith) Stephan, Angela Shinners, Linda Arnoldi, and Shelly (Daniel Leary) Arnoldi. On
February 13, 1993 he was united in marriage to Caroline (Hempleman) Halida. Caroline
preceded him in death on March 9, 2023.
Don had a strong faith and was the President of the congregation at Christ Lutheran Church in
Sheboygan. Don was a salesman for Coca Cola for 25 years, he then transitioned to and retired
from the Gus Holman Company. Don also worked as a Deputy Sheriff for Road America events
and drove a charter bus and airport shuttle van. He was an active member of the Farmers and
Sportsman’s Club, where he enjoyed trap shooting. He also enjoyed shooting darts, playing
pool, and playing cards. Don also enjoyed Friday Fish Frys with his family and friends. Don had
a heart of gold and would bring a smile to the face of everyone he met.
Don is further survived by his stepsons, Scott (Jill) Halida, Randy (Stacy Tegrotenhuis) Halida,
and Jeff (Connie Felde) Halida, seventeen grandchildren; Brandon (Haley) Stephan, Dylan
(Hannah Brown) Stephan, Ian, Johanna, and Charlotta Shinners, Ethan, Isabella, and Max
Gassner, Alexandra and Andrea Arnoldi Nanis, and Frank and John Leary, Breanna (Sam)
Hartmann, Abby and Jackson Halida, Stacy Halida, Paige an Seth Balma, and Kyle Halida, six
great-grandchildren; Connor, Finley, and Everly Stephan, and Brayden, Braxton and Kalvin
Hartmann, sisters-in-law Kathy Arnoldi and LuAnn Arnoldi, he is further survived by nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, twin
brother Dan and brother Richard.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Christ Lutheran
Church, 3816 S. 12 th St. Sheboygan, with Pastor Christian Gugle officiating. Relatives and friends
may visit with the family on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 12Noon until the time of service at the
CHURCH. If you are unable to be with the family for Don’s service, it will be available on his
obituary page on the funeral home website following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church in Don’s name.
