MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Madison’s city clerk was called for an interview with federal investigators last month.
Meribeth Witzel-Behl gave statements to the FBI last month that’s part of a continuing probe into the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election and efforts by supporters of Donald Trump to overturn the election.
The director of the Milwaukee Election Commission testified to agents earlier this year as well.
The elections in both Madison and Milwakuee were subjected to recounts, audits, and lawsuits from the Trump campaign and both elections were confirmed.
