Shirley A. Scheibl, 87, of Howards Grove, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 26,
2023. Born on August 30, 1935 to the late Oscar and Viola (Zimmermann) Krueger. Shirley was a
graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School.
On September 26, 1959 Shirley married the late Marvin H. Scheibl at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in
Sheboygan Falls. Shirley worked as a cook at Klemmes Wagon Wheel for many years. Prior to that she
worked for Sheboygan Falls Mutual Insurance. Shirley was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran
Church, Sheboygan Falls, where she belonged to the auxiliary.
Shirley enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers, playing cards, going to the
casino and gardening in her flower garden. For over 60 years Shirley spent summers at the Scheibl camp
in St. Germain with family and friends, a time of the year she always looked forward to. Spending time
with her grandchildren meant the world to her.
She is survived by her daughter Connie (Al) Kupsch; daughter-in-law Kay Scheibl; grandchildren Tyler,
Brayden (fiancé Haley Marman), Noah (girlfriend Maddy Miller); sister Janet (Warren) Kuester; sisters-
in-law Ann Krueger and Joyce Scheibl; and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband; son David Scheibl; parents; sisters Betty (Don) Plate, Audrey
(Bill) Scroggins and Carol (Bill) Guse; brothers Laurin Krueger and Vernon (Betty Jane) Krueger; sisters-
in-law Marion (Harvey) Wieland, Isabell (Rueben) Stuemke and Ellen (Earl) Wilhelms; brothers-in-law
Willard (Ann), Norman (Gertrude) and Frederick Scheibl; and her daughter-in-law Grace Scheibl.
A Funeral Service will be held for Shirley on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran
Church, 730 Cty Rd PPP in Sheboygan Falls. Pastor Rob Schrader will officiate. Interment will follow at
Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 30, 2023 from
9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the CHURCH.
A memorial fund has been established in Shirley’s name.
