MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers dropped their series to the Arizona Diamondbacks following a 5-1 loss at American Family Field on Wednesday afternoon.
The Brewers managed just three hits in this game.
Elvis Peguero got the loss after surrendering two runs, one earned, while recording two outs in relief. Raimel Tapia slugged a solo shot for Milwaukee, which fell to 38-36.
Zac Gallen fired seven innings of one-run ball for the D’backs. Emmanuel Rivera and Alek Thomas both had three hits and an RBI for Arizona.
The Diamondbacks also tied a franchise record with seven stolen bases on the day.
The Brew Crew trail the Reds by a game-and-a-half for first place in the NL Central.
The Brewers begin a ten-day road trip on Friday night when they open a three-game set against the Guardians in Cleveland. Wade Miley gets the start opposite Shane Bieber.
