Florence
A. Kleinhans, age 89, of Plymouth, passed away late Tuesday Evening (Jan. 23,
2018) at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility where she had been a resident for the
past 6 months.
She was born on July 20, 1928 in Town of
Rhine, WI, a daughter of the late Milton and Frieda (Gosse) Jung.
She attended Rhine Center Grade School and
graduated from Glenbeulah High School in 1946.
On September 18, 1954 she married Harold
“Happy” Kleinhans at Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth. The couple has resided in the
Plymouth area since their
marriage.
She worked at Cleveland Container in
Plymouth for 6 years. She also worked at
Waldo Canning Company, Plymouth Cheese Counter and for the Plymouth School
District at the High School for 10 years retiring in 1990. Her husband preceded
her in death on October 21, 2016.
She was a member of Salem United Church of
Christ in Plymouth and belonged to the Willing Workers in the church for many
years holding various offices. She was
also president of the
Naomi Circle
in the church.
She was a former member of Plymouth Snow
Rangers Snowmobile Club. She also
enjoyed Stock Car Racing, Green Bay Packers and NASCAR racing and loved playing
sheepshead.
Survivors include: Two sons: Kenneth
Kleinhans and Richard Kleinhans both of Plymouth; One brother: Milford (Gladys)
Jung of Saukville, WI; Two brothers-in-law: Willard Kleinhans of Plymouth, David
Grimm of Black River Falls, WI; and One sister-in-law: Gloria J. Kleinhans of
Plymouth.
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other
relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by four brothers:
Marvin (Elaine) Jung, Norbert Jung, two infant brothers; Four sisters: Vera
Bub, Esther Schrader, Hilda Kornetzke, Carol Grimm; One sister-in-law: Gloria
R. Kleinhans; and Two brothers-in-law: Arnold Kleinhans and Clarence Bub.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday
(January 28, 2018) at 3:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev.
James Hoppert, Pastor of Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth will
officiate.
Burial will be in Zoar-Salem UCC Cemetery
in Town of Rhine.
Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral
Home on Sunday (Jan. 28) from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is
being established in Florence’s name.
