Robert
O. “Bob” Boeldt, age 87, Town of Plymouth, WI, passed away early Thursday
Morning (Feb. 8, 2018) at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake where he had been a
resident for the past two years.
He
was born on May 2, 1930 in the Town of Herman, WI, a son of the late Paul and
Martha (Witthuhn) Boeldt.
He
attended Howards Grove Parochial School.
Bob
worked the family homestead, took it over in 1952 and farmed it until 1962.
On
August 27, 1955, he married Louette “Lou” E. Sixel at St. Peter’s Reformed Church
in the Town of Rhine. The couple has resided in the Town of Rhine until moving
to their present address in 1962.
He
was employed at Gilson Brothers Company (now known as Toro Corp) in Plymouth
for 28 years, retiring in 1990.
He
was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and the Cascade Lion’s
Club.
Bob
enjoyed bowling, playing cards, movies and occasionally a night out at the bar.
Survivors
include his loving wife of 62 years: Lou
of Plymouth; One son: Gene Boeldt and One daughter: Susan Boeldt, both at home.
He
is survived by other relatives and many friends.
He
was preceded in death by his daughter: Mary Ann; one brother: Orville and two
sisters; Aroma and Florence.
Funeral
services will be held on Sunday (February 11, 2018) at 4:00 P.M. at Suchon
Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Nathan
Meador, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth will officiate.
Cremation
will follow the services and Inurnment will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn
Cemetery.
Friends
may call at the Suchon Funeral Home on Sunday (Feb. 11) from 2:00 P.M. until
the time of services.
In
lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bob’s name.
