Elinor
A. Pannier, age 96, formerly of Random Lake, passed away peacefully on Monday
(Feb.12, 2018) at Pine Haven Christian Home, which had been her residence for
the past 1 ½ years.
Elinor,
who was known affectionately as “Nana” to her family, was born on October 25
th
,
1921 in the Town of Sherman, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Louis and Ida
Borkenhagen Spieker, and growing up she attended Adell Grade School.
On
December 1, 1946 she married Harvey Pannier at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in
Adell. Her husband preceded her in death on May 30, 2008.
Elinor
was born and raised on the family farm, where she lived for over 90 years. Her and Harvey enjoyed running the farm and
traveling throughout their life. Prior to her time at Pine Haven, she had
briefly called Plymouth her home.
In
her final years, Elinor would frequently comment on how blessed she had been,
and that she lived a satisfied life, accomplishing all that she had hoped.
She
was a member of St. John
Lutheran
Church in
Sherman
Center.
She
is survived by: Her son, Ken Pannier of Plymouth; Son-in-law James Smith of
Adell; and Three grandchildren: Brandon and Andrea Pannier, Taylor Smith.
She
is also survived by her niece: Barb Spieker, and her nephew: Steve Mayer.
She
was preceded in death by: Her son: Mark Pannier; Daughter: Katherine
Pannier-Smith; Daughter-in-law: Rosanne Pannier; Sister: Vera (Melvin) Mayer;
and Brother: Walter (Aggie) Spieker.
Funeral
Services will be held on Monday (Feb. 19) at 1:00 P.M. at Suchon Funeral Home
in Plymouth. Rev. Casey Sugden, Pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plymouth
will officiate. Burial will be at St.
John Lutheran Cemetery in Sherman Center.
Friends
may call at Suchon Funeral Home on Monday (Feb. 19) from 12:00 Noon until the
time of services.
In
lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church in Sherman
Center in Elinor’s name.
