Dennis L. Grasse, age 71, of Cascade, passed away
unexpectedly on Wednesday (February 14, 2018) at St. Nicholas Hospital in
Sheboygan.
He was born on August 4, 1946 in Sheboygan, WI, son of
the late Theodore and Lucile (Pangier) Grasse.
Dennis graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1964.
After High School he played lead guitar and sang at local venues with the Sceptres.
He attended St. Norbert College and later earned his degree from Spencerian
Business College in Milwaukee.
After college, Dennis began working for Grasse Bros. Oil
Company in Sheboygan. He later became a real estate broker for various real
estate companies.
In 1974 he was married to Robin Gendreau and the couple
had four children together. He was later
married in 1995 to Theresa Struve.
Dennis owned the Broken Spoke from 1981-1999 and also the
Golden Lion for a short period of time. He later worked for Watson’s Vending,
retiring in 2010, and most recently worked part-time at Advance Auto Parts in
Plymouth.
Dennis was an avid golfer, loved playing fantasy
football, and was a professional grill master. He loved watching the Packers,
Badgers and Brewers, and also enjoyed sailing on Crystal Lake and relaxing near
its waters.
He is survived by: Three children: Jen Grasse of La Crosse,
WI, Ryan (Jenny) Grasse of Irvine, CA, and Chris Grasse (Jess Franks) of Omaha,
NE; Son-in-law: Max Trane of La Crescent, MN; Two grandchildren: EvelynnMarie
and Emerson; Two sisters: Dolores Grasse, O.P. of Sinsinawa Mound, WI and Jean
Dickman of Sussex, WI; Brother: Ted (Sarah) Grasse of Pataskala, OH; and Former
Spouses: Robin Grasse and Theresa Struve.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: His parents; Daughter: Lynn
Trane; Infant daughter: Christine; and Brother-in-law: John Dickman.
Following Dennis’ wishes, cremation has taken place, and Memorial
Services will be held on Thursday evening (Feb. 22, 2018) at 6:00 P.M. at the Suchon
Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Wayne Bittner will officiate.
Visitation will take place at Suchon Funeral Home on
Thursday (Feb. 22) from 4:00 P.M. until the time of Services.
