Marie J. Payne, age 76, of Plymouth, passed away early
Tuesday Morning (April 3, 2018) at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
Marie was born on May 29, 1941 in Elkhart Lake, a daughter
of the late Oscar G. Reimer Sr. and Mathilda (Holtzmann) Riemer.
She attended Elkhart Lake Grade School and High School.
On
October
1, 1966, she married Gilbert W. Payne at Community United Church of
Christ in
Elkhart
Lake. The couple has resided in the Town of
Plymouth since their marriage. Her husband preceded her in death on January 22,
2011.
She worked at Durwood’s Restaurant in Plymouth for several
years and at Borden’s for 42 years, retiring in 2003 and was a member of the
Borden’s
25 Year Club.
Marie enjoyed birdwatching, crocheting, and her Pomeranian
dogs.
Survivors include: Three sons: Bill (Sheila) Payne of St.
Cloud, Brad (Mary) Payne of Sheboygan Falls, and Ben Payne of Plymouth; Two
grandchildren: Alex and Dustin Payne of
St. Cloud; Two step-grandchildren: Jamie
(Aaron) Skrube of Sheboygan and Jeremy
(Ashley) Setzer of Sheboygan Falls; Four step-great grandchildren: Danica and
Evelyn Skrube, and Mason and Paxton Setzer; Three brothers-in-law: Tom Payne of
Cedar Grove, Jerry (Betty) Payne of Adell, and Phil Payne of Little Elkhart
Lake; Sister-in-law: Virginia Payne of Sheboygan; and Her Plymouth Dairy Queen
Gang.
She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, along
with many other friends.
She was preceded in death by: Her parents; Father and mother-in-law:
Norman and Sophie Payne; Three brothers: Vernon (Delores), August (Gladys), and
Oscar Jr.; and Brother-in-law: Jim Payne.
Funeral services will be held on Friday Afternoon (April 6,
2018) at 3:30 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Dale Miller will
officiate. Cremation will take place
following the services.
Visitation will take place at the Suchon Funeral Home on Friday
(April 6) from 1:00 P.M. until the time
of the services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marie’s
name.
