Gladys
Mae Klein, age 91, Plymouth, WI, passed away on Thursday (April 12, 2018) at
Rocky Knoll Health Care Center where she was well cared for and resided for the
past 7 years.
She
was born on October 11, 1926 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin a daughter of the late
LeRoy and Juanita M. Mudrow Bohlander.
She
attended Elkhart Lake grade school and graduated from Plymouth High School in
1944. Upon graduation she moved to Milwaukee and worked at Schuster’s
Department Store for 4 years and Walgreens for 18 years.
On
April 12, 1947 she married Robert A. Klein. The couple lived in Milwaukee for
43 years before retiring to Plymouth in 1990. Her husband preceded her in death
on January 11, 2012.
She
was a member of Community United Church of Christ in Elkhart Lake where she was
baptized and confirmed. She was a woman of great faith and loved her savior
Jesus Christ with all her heart. Gladys enjoyed fishing, camping, crossword and
jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, word search, bingo and reading. She especially
enjoyed fishing and camping with her husband at Lynn Ann’s Campgrounds in St.
Germain for many summers. Gladys was Robert’s “fishing buddy”. Gladys died on
her anniversary date and looked forward to rejoining her husband in heaven.
Survivors
Include: One son: Jay Allan (Lisa) Klein
of Fond du Lac, WI; One Granddaughter: Christina (Chad) Fox of Campbellsport,
WI; and Six Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews,
great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She
was preceded in death by one sister: Ann Marie Knowles and her husband: John
Knowles. One sister-in-law: Rosemary (Matthew) Lannert.
Memorial
services will be held on Friday (April 20, 2018) at 1:00 P.M. at Suchon Funeral
Home in Plymouth. Reverends Nancy Mussehl (niece) and John Knowles (Nephew)
will preside over the memorial service. Inurnment will take place at a later
date with immediate family at the St. John’s
Cemetery
in
Elkhart
Lake.
Visitation
will take place at Suchon Funeral Home on Friday (April 20) from 12:00 Noon
until the time of Services.
