John Schroeder, of
Sheboygan, passed away early Sunday morning, April 15, 2018 at Sharon S.
Richardson Community Hospice. He was 76 years old.
John was born July 16,
1941 in Milwaukee, the son of Albert and Florence (nee Litzow) Schroeder. After
graduating from Mukwonago High School, John went on to earn a Bachelors Degree
from UW Whitewater. John ran his own accounting business until his retirement
in 2017.
On April 27, 1968, he was
united in marriage with Gwen Prange at Holy Name of Jesus in Sheboygan.
John is survived by his
wife of nearly 50 years, Gwen, and their children: Mary Claire Schroeder of
Kohler and Michael (Marie) Schroeder of Howards Grove. He is further survived
by his grandchildren Luke, Jack and Harry Schroder, brother Fred Schroeder of
Westfield, WI, sister-in-law Judy Prange of Plymouth, nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by
his parents, his sister Julia Courtney and his brother-in-law Warner Prange.
Funeral Services will be
held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Zimmer Westview Funeral and
Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road (Hwy 42 & JJ) in Sheboygan, with
Fr. Richard Cerpich officiating. The family will receive visitors at the
funeral home on Thursday from 4:30-6:00 PM.
John’s family would like
to personally thank the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for
their heartfelt compassion that was shown to John. They would also like to
thank both Dr. Nicholas Barnes and Dr. Steven Sievers for the excellent care
given to John.
