Gary Otte, age 83, of Plymouth, WI passed away peacefully at his
home on Monday, April 16, 2018.
Gary was born on April, 2, 1935 in Sheboygan. WI, son of the late
Gerhardt and Angelina (Rosenstein) Otte.
Gary graduated from North High School in Sheboygan WI. He then proudly
served in the United States Marines.
On November 5, 1983 he married Ruth LaPean at St. Johns Catholic
Church in Plymouth, WI.
Gary was employed at (GTE) General Telephone Company for most of
his career and retired from GTE in 1988.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in
Plymouth.
Gary enjoyed tennis, biking, Packer Games, spending time with his
grandchildren, and his dog (Lacey). Both
Gary and Ruth spent 19 winters enjoying the warmth of Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Otte of Plymouth; Two brothers
and one sister; Mark (Joannie) Otte of Grafton and Tom Otte of Tennessee, Lois (Dick)
Varichak of Madison, and three children; David (Joann) of Elkhart Lake, Dirk (Janet)
Mequon, and Beth (Derek) Clarendon Hills, Illinois. Two stepchildren, Sue (Phil) Roberts of
Appleton and Vicki Meyer of Sheboygan and many grandchildren.
He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other
relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sibling Roger
Otte.
Funeral services will be held on Friday (April 20, 2018) at 5:30
P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.
Father Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
will officiate.
Visitation will take place at the Suchon Funeral home on Friday
(April 20) from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services.
The Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post 5612 will conduct
military rites immediately following the services.
Cremation will take place following the services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Gary’s
name.
