Daniel “Butch” Kenneth Cudworth, age 73, beloved husband, father, Grandpa,
brother, was called home to Heaven in the early hours of Monday morning, May
21, 2018 where he was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on August 21, 1944, the 2nd of 7 children to be born to Thomas
and Delores (Schram) Cudworth.
He graduated from Winneconne High School with the class of 1962. After two
years at FVTC taking classes to become an electrician, he started his career at
Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac.
On July 3, 1965, he married Kathleen Anderson at Grace Lutheran Church in
Winneconne. Following their marriage the couple resided in the Plymouth area
(Greenbush/Glenbeulah) where they raised their two children. Upon retiring, he
and Kathy moved to Tennessee for a few years where he worked temporarily for
Kohler Co. He spent his spare time there fixing things around the horse farm
they bought. They moved back up to Wisconsin where his wife soon joined him in
retirement.
Butch loved to play baseball, hardball and softball starting in Winneconne
and ending in Plymouth, WI. He was also
an avid bowler. But his main love was his family. He was a great partner for
his wife, Kathy, who bred, raised, trained and showed American Quarter Horses.
He loved to watch her and their daughter in the horse shows. He also loved to
watch his son, Mark, pitch some pretty wicked baseball games! The last few
years he spent taking care of horses, his two labs, Abee and Ellee, and feeding
the wild life around their farm, especially the birds that came to feed on the
back deck.
Butch is survived by: His wife of 52 years: Kathleen; Daughter: Michelle
(Tim) Wiemann; Son: Mark (fiancee: Lisa Barts); Grandson: James Cudworth; Sisters:
Pauline (Randall) Harper, Carolyn Cudworth, and Linda (Dave) Monson; and Brothers-in-law:
Richard Bradbury and John (Carol) Anderson.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; Sister: Bernadine Bradbury; and
Brothers: Arthur “Artie” and William “Billy.”
