Norman H. Boeldt, 81, of Howards Grove, passed away on
Monday, June 11, 2018 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan
Falls. He was born July 12, 1936 in the
Town of Schleswig to Helmuth and Edna (Bratz) Boeldt. He graduated from Kiel High School with the
Class of 1955. Following High School Norman joined the US Army National Guard and
proudly served from 1955 to 1962.
On August 28, 1965 he was united in marriage to Judith Wuestenhagen.
Norman had a strong faith and was a member of St. Paul’s
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Howards Grove.
He worked as an Inspector for Tecumseh in New Holstein, later for
Gilson, and retired from Toro in 1999.
Norman was an avid collector of toy muscle cars and toy tractors. For 15
years he ran the Cucumber Station, enjoyed gardening, dancing the polka, taking
car trips, and later in his years taking bus trips.
Norman is survived by his wife Judith, children; Sandra
(Larry) Menting of Howards Grove, Russell (Kathrine) Boeldt of Fischers, IN,
Barbara (Mike) Wade of Sheboygan, Kathleen (Matthew) Horn of Howards Grove, ten
grandchildren; Brady, Cory, and Gary Menting, Andrew and Brooke Boeldt, Rodney
and Kassandra Wiegele, Elijah, Josiah, and Annaliese Horn, brother Veron (Jane)
Boeldt of New Holstein, sisters; Marion Hartwig of Plymouth, Betty Groth of
Oshkosh, Jane (Garret) Hanke of Franklin, brothers-in-law, Roger Wehrmann of
Sheboygan Falls and Gorden Wuestenhagen of Sheboygan Falls, special friend
Lucille Matzdorf of Sheboygan Falls, he is further survived by nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Rodney
Wiegele, granddaughter Gabrielle Boeldt, in-laws Hugo and Wilma Wuestenhagen,
sisters; Mabel (Kermit) Liermann, Lorraine (Marcus) Nagel, Bernice (Dennis)
Hasenstein and Fern (Willard) Lieteritz, sisters-in-law, Rosie Wuestenhagen and
Norma Wehrmann, and brothers-in-law, Otto Hartwig and Donald Groth and special
friend Willard Matzdorf.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 4:00PM
at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 441 Millersville Ave., Howards Grove, with
Rev. Aaron Mueller officiating.
Inurnment will take place at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Cemetery at a later
date. Relatives and friends may visit
with the family on Friday, June 16, 2018 from 1:00 PM until the time of service
at the CHURCH.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sharon S.
Richardson Community Hospice and St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Norman’s
name.
