Dale “Bud” L. Slimmer, 74, of Sheboygan, passed away on
Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Pine Haven Rehabilitation Center in Sheboygan
Falls. Dale was born December 22, 1943
in Sioux Falls, SD to Frank and Sylvia (Conley) Slimmer. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School
and went on to proudly serve in the US Army.
On July 1, 1967 he was united in marriage to Suzanne Merkel
at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove.
Dale worked in the
accounting department for the Piggly Wiggly Corporation. Having a strong faith, he was a member of
Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
With a love for the outdoors, Dale enjoyed camping and hiking. He enjoyed listening to gospel and bluegrass
and singing along to his favorite songs. His family was his pride and joy, spoiling
his grandchildren and creating lasting memories with his family was what he
loved most of all.
Dale is survived by his wife Suzanne of Sheboygan, children;
Michael (Debra) Slimmer of Sheboygan, Amy Janke of Sheboygan, and Brian
(Sandra) Slimmer of St. Clair, MO, by his twelve grandchildren; Taylor, Elyse,
Parker, and Eden Slimmer, Joel (Meredith) Janke, Collin, Abby, and Jackson
Janke, Nathanial, Nicholas, Kyra Slimmer and Nathan Morris, and his first
great-grandchild is on the way. He is
further survived by his siblings; Larry (Ann) Slimmer of School Hill, Joy
Slimmer of Sheboygan Falls, and Jill (Andy) Velez of Brighton, MI,
sisters-in-law Nancy (Todd) Rakow and Janice (Bill) Karl, and brother -in-law
Richard (Becky) Merkel, also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends. He was preceded in death by his
parents and a brother Ralph “Rick” Slimmer.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at
4:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Ave., Sheboygan, with Pastor
John Berg and Pastor Timothy Mech officiating.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, July 30, 2018
from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the CHURCH.
Memorials to the Trinity Lutheran Church Choir Music Fund
would be appreciated in Dale’s name.

Pine Haven and the staff of the ICU at St. Nicholas Hospital for all their
