Roger Goetsch, age 76, of Plymouth, WI,
passed away on Sunday (July 29, 2018) peacefully at his home.
He was born on April 12, 1942 in Glenbeulah
to the late Walter and Martha (Brill) Goetsch. He graduated from the Plymouth
High School in 1960.
On August 27, 1972 he married Karen
Marquardt of Plymouth, daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Conrad) Marquardt.
They were united in marriage at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade. They were
married 46 years. He also belonged to Salem United Church of Christ, Plymouth.
He served in the United States Army
National Guard.
Roger worked at Knowles Manufacturing
Company in Glenbeulah for ten years, Gilson Co., Plymouth Oil Co. as a farm
service man for 20 years known as the best tire man around, then Kohler Company
for 15 years and then retired. He was always a hard worker and supported his
family.
He loved tinkering in the garage trying
to make things work. Him and his wife loved to go walking down by Lake Michigan
on a Sunday afternoon for hours, motorcycle riding, he had Harleys and BMW
Motorcycles, together they made one trip to Canada and back on a BMW, he loved
bicycle riding and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years:
Karen of Plymouth; One daughter: Sandy Lutzke of Plymouth; One son: Michael Goetsch
of Elkhart Lake; One granddaughter: Caitlyn Goetsch; Three grandsons: Cody
Wilterdink, Conor Kahlhamer and Kolton Goetsch.
He is also survived by two brothers:
Wayne (Susan) Goetsch of Plymouth, Herbert (Judy) Goetsch of Minnesota; Two sisters:
Marian Martinez of Sheboygan and Gerty (Dave) Steiner of Plymouth and many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his
parents: Walter and Martha (Brill) Goetsch; One brother: Warren Goetsch; Mother
and Father-in-law: Fred and Helen (Conrad) Marquardt; One sister-in-law:
Lorraine Johnson; and One brother-in-law: Fritz Marquardt.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday
(August 2, 2018) at 7:00 P.M. at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Pastor Dale Miller
of Salem Plankroad United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be at the Plymouth Woodlawn
Cemetery.
Friends may call at Suchon Funeral Home
on Thursday (Aug. 2) from 4:00 P.M. until the time of services.
Military rites will be conducted by the Plymouth
VFW World Cheese Center Post #5612 following services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are
suggested to the Chaplaincy Ministry.
