Mark E. Baumgartner, age 64, of Sheboygan passed away
unexpectedly on August 19, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Milwaukee on January 26, 1954 to the late
Julius and Constance (Masset) Baumgartner. He attended local schools and
graduated from West Milwaukee High School. He continued his education at UW
Whitewater receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. On
September 24, 1977 he married Charlene (Zingler) at St. John Lutheran Church in
Milwaukee.
Mark was employed at Kohler Company for nearly 40 years
where he held various positions in management. He began his career as a foreman
in Pottery Inspection and continued in leadership roles in Enamel Inspection,
Quality Systems, Cast Operations, Forming and Sanitary KOS.
Mark loved the family cottage in Phelps, WI where he would
go four wheeling, fishing, snowmobiling, watching the hummingbirds and just sitting
on the deck with a drink in hand with the ones he loved. He also loved watching
his favorite Wisconsin Sports teams and cheering on his grandsons at their
hockey games. Family meant everything to Mark, and he left behind many great
memories for his children and grandchildren to look back on. He was a selfless
man who would give anything for his family, including his garage and boat.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Charlene; children,
Carrie (Nathan) Burger, Todd Baumgartner, Neil (Brittany) Baumgartner and Beth
(Noah) Albrecht; three grandsons, Miles and Elliot Burger and Hudson
Baumgartner; sister Lynn Baumgartner; mother-in-law Violet Zingler;
brother-in-law Gregory Zingler; sister-in-law Denise (Dennis) Rackow; nephew
Keith (Brooke) Zingler and daughters Kenzey, Kaeley and Brynlee.
Along with his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his
father-in-law Harold Zingler.
A Memorial Service for Mark will be held at 6:00 PM on
Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center,
W2132 Garton Rd in Sheboygan. The family will receive visitors at the funeral
home on Wednesday from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM. Mark will
be laid to rest at the family cottage.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in
his name.
