Phyllis L. Gross, age
92 of Sheboygan, passed away Monday August 27, 2018 at St. Nicholas Hospital.
Born April 29, 1926 in
Sheboygan to Philip and Lomira (Bucholtz) Sundet, she attended local schools
and graduated from Central High School in 1944. On June 22, 1946 she was united
in marriage to Henry K. Gross at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls.
She worked many years as sales clerk for H. C. Prange Co. She enjoyed traveling
to China, England, New York, Alaska, the Panama Canal and various other bus
trips throughout the United States. She also enjoyed needlepoint, gardening and
playing golf. She was an avid reader, and sang in the church choir for many
years.
Phyllis is survived by
her children, H. Philip Gross, Shirley (Terry) Kyle and Joann (Gary) Laux, her
grandchildren, Kerry James, Robert (Jenny) Kyle, Peter (Barbara) Laux and
Jonathan (Araceli) Laux; her great grandchildren, Cole,Natalie, Will, Maddie,
Maggie, Miles, Celine. Mila,her sister in laws, Mary Gross and Carolyn Hunt.
and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, her husband, Henry a daughter Karen Gross, her sister
Dolores Schiebl, her brothers in law, Bruce Hunt, Ray Schiebl, and Lester
Gross.
Funeral Services for
Phyllis will be held at 12 Noon Friday, August 31, 2016 at St. Paul's Ev.
Lutheran Church, 1810 N. 13th St., Sheboygan. The Rev. Alan Kretschmar will
officiate. Visitation will take place at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the
time of service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
A memorial fund has
been established in her name.
Phyllis's family would
like to thank the nurses and staff of St. Nicholas Home Health and Hospice for
their loving care and support.
