Elizabeth
Brummeyer, age 96, of Plymouth, passed away early Tuesday morning (August 28,
2018) at Anita’s Garden’s in Plymouth where she was a resident for the past
year.
She was born in Sheboygan,
WI on October 14, 1921, daughter of the late David and Elizabeth
(Rieb) Herber.
She attended schools in Sheboygan, graduating
from Sheboygan Central High School in 1939.
On March 22, 1941 she married Frederick Brummeyer. The couple resided in Sheboygan prior to
moving to Plymouth in 1946, were they purchased the Foth Floral Shop. They operated the Brummeyer Flower shop for
over 45 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Laurie (Robert)
DeBruine of Plymouth; grandchildren: Karen (Joe) Lien of Columbus, WI, James
(Sarah) Pitzen of Plymouth, Tammy (Alan) Michaels of Glenbeulah, Jeremy (Dana)
DeBruine of Plymouth, Michael (Christine) DeBruine of Elkhart Lake, Angela
(Paul) Meyer of Kiel and Joshua (Becky) DeBruine of Brownsville, WI; great
grandchildren: Jonathan Pitzen, Robert and Andrew Michaels and Corbin and
Raelynn DeBruine, Evelyn Schafer and Brecklyn DeBruine. One great great
granddaughter: Eleanor Pitzen.
She is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other
relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents,
husband, daughter and son-in-law: Elizabeth and Walter Pitzen; three sisters:
Amalia Haack, Edna Witte and Marie Kuester; two brothers: Henry and Robert
Herber.
Following Elizabeth’s wishes, cremation has
taken place and there will be no service or visitation. Private inurnment will take place in
Sheboygan Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being
established in Elizabeth’s name.
