Frank G. Zimmermann, age 76, of Town of Rhine, passed
away Monday afternoon (September 17, 2018) at his home surrounded by his loving
family.
He was born on January 15, 1942 in Plymouth, WI, a son of
the late Emil and Dorothy (Fleisner) Zimmermann.
He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1960.
On June 20, 1964 he married Judy Ehlenbeck in Plymouth,
WI. The couple resided on the farm since their marriage.
After graduation he worked as a milk tester for Sheboygan
County DHIA and M-B Co. in New Holstein. He also worked at Miller Implement in
St. Nazianz, had several jobs as an electrician, and enjoyed being a town supervisor
for the Town of Rhine for many years,
all while continuing to run his own farm.
He was a member of the Kiel Lions Club for more than 40
years.
Frank enjoyed being a dairy farmer and fixing and welding
all the farm machinery and tractors for himself and many friends.
He loved polka music and was proud to promote and sell
tapes and Cd’s for the Carl Laack Band and the John Roehl Orchestra. He made
many friends as he did this through the years.
Survivors include his wife: Judy; Two sons: Ronald of
Elkhart Lake and Donald (Danielle) of Elkhart Lake; Two grandchildren: Haley and
Ethan; Sister-in-law: Sharon (Jerry) Sippel of Fond du Lac; Brother-in-law:
Donald (Linda) Ehlenbeck of Elkhart Lake; and Farm dogs: Frannie and Lucy.
He is also survived by many many friends, nieces,
nephews, other relatives.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents; Mother-in-law:
Verna Ehlenbeck; and Father-in-law: Robert Ehlenbeck.
Following Frank’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a
memorial service will be held on Monday (September 24, 2018) at 7:30 P.M.
Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Ernst Hutzinger will officiate.
Friends may call at Suchon Funeral Home on Monday (Sept.
24) from 3:30 P.M. until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established
in Frank’s name.
A future Celebration of Frank’s Life will be held at
Laack’s Hall at a later date.
