Beryl Kathryn Blanke, age 87, of Plymouth, passed away on
Monday (September 17, 2018) at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice
Facility in Sheboygan Falls.
She was born in Plymouth on June 6, 1931, daughter of the
late Edwin and Kathryn (Verhulst) Bohnsack.
Beryl was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in
Plymouth. She attended Plymouth grade
schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1949. She later attended and received her teaching
degree from the Normal School in Sheboygan Falls. She taught for one year in a schoolhouse in
the Town of Plymouth before raising her family.
On February 23, 1952, she married Donald Blanke at St. John
Lutheran Church in Plymouth. He preceded
her in death on February 1, 2004.
She enjoyed watching birds, gardening at the farm, and going
to Brewer games. She also enjoyed
cooking and baking (especially for holidays) and spending time with her loving
family.
Survivors include: Five children: Chris (Paul) Baumann of
Plymouth, John Blanke of Sheboygan Falls, Linda Bruggink of Sheboygan Falls,
Karen (Victor) Prahl of Sheboygan Falls, and Thom Blanke of New York, NY; Seven
grandchildren: Liza Stoll (Fiance: Troy Struve of Plymouth, Brooke (Sonny)
Zuliani of Port Washington, Jason (Rikki) Bruggink of Fond du Lac, Michael
Bruggink of Plymouth, Valarie (Jeremy) Jacobs of Sheboygan Falls, Jill (Peter)
Stewart of Bowling Green, KY, and Julie Prahl of Sheboygan; and Six
great-grandchildren: Treydon, Sidwell, Ida, Vivian, Sylvia, and Connor.
She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Beryl was preceded in death by: Her husband; Parents;
Son-in-law: Phil Bruggink; and Brother: Harold Bohnsack.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday (September 26,
2018) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.
Visitation will take place from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. with a Service to
follow at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Nathan Meador,
Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn
Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in
Beryl’s name for St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
